cute baby I was

I was born on 29 Augustus 1943 in Budapest. About 5 years old my life started with classical music and did not hear or appreciate anything but classical music until my mid teens.
At age 13(1956) , my parents decided to finally leave Hungary for a better life in the west.
The only important happenings in the following years were my first encounter with pop music, the guitar and girls. Not exactly in that order.

After a stint in the Dutch army (also gotten married and a father to a healthy boy in the meantime), I immigrated to Australia.
Here my musical career together with becoming a commercial photographer started to take of.
Toward the end of the ten years, I’ve spent there more time gigging as a singer-songwriter than taking pictures.
Got divorced and exchanged Melbourne for Sydney.

In 1979, I returned to Holland to visit my dying mother and got stuck in Hengelo.
Here I’ve spent my time first establishing myself as a photographer. Creativity was high.

Studio Metro

In 1981 I was active in the local musical scene and we were building on a dream that later became Metropool. In 2001 Alien Nation (me) took over the running of the studio and afther a majure rebuild with the help of Maz it became Studio Metro. Between 2000 and 2004 we recorded a lot of demo's and life gigs on the Popbelang Nights. In the free hour's (mostly at night afther the day/evening sesion was over) I've recorded the album *la Strada* wich was released in Aug 2005. Having left the studio (several times) and reteurned in Dec 2008 to present *Andy and his Wolf* in the Metropool. I've now decided to leave for the final time. I just could not combine living in the open space and working on my Art. By now I am composing and recording music for The Cartonist Joas Seabastian Nebe from Berlin also writing poetry in English and Dutch and also redescovered my Photography talents.
